So we were transferred to MDACC on Tuesday. We're waiting to hear back from our admitting doctor, but it sounds like going home is in the very near future--maybe today, but definitely by tomorrow. The babies made their first visit to MD Anderson the other night to see mommy and daddy. Prayers for discharge, rest, and reunion. Love you all.
All quiet on the waiting room front. Other waiting family members must've know the waiting room thermostat was set to Arctic. Trav just had 1.8L drained from his right lung. No lasik the first two nights and being sedentary for nearly a week, lead to fluid build up.
His hemoglobin has continued to climb and the doctor just took him off IV fluids. He is feeling good and ready for real food. Hospital life is catching up to us. I haven't been this tired in a long time. I'm gonna make like a computer and crash. (I thought you'd like that, Christi Richards!). Thank you so much for lovin' on us while we've been here. It really does help warm this ice cave! His mercies are new every morning...and must continue through the evening! Guess whose hemoglobin is up and is no longer bleeding! You guys have some serious pull. Thank you so much. Can we be a permanent line item in you prayer journal?! As much as I would love to be at home with my mind miles away from cancer as we watch babies run around the house, it is truly incredible to watch what we can't do alone be done. We love you.
